SAFETY: A SAFE EVENT IS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY. EVERY PARTICIPANT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS
- Certified Life Jackets are to be worn by all passengers and drivers while boats are in motion.
- Lanyards are to be worn by drivers at all times during the run.
- Captains need to watch for “dead heads” and other potential floating debris throughout the lake.
- Drivers are asked to abide by all no wake and speed limit zones. Once again, high water dictates the need for caution.
- At any rolling stop, be mindful of the winds and currents.
- This is not a race; there is no reward for getting there faster.
- Passengers should each have a safe place to sit.
- Boats should not be operating within close proximity to each other, shore or other anchored vessels.
- As a result of the very different speeds of the boats involved, it will be extremely important for all participants to be looking around and behind for approaching traffic.
- Drivers should pick a lane, and stay in it, unless they are sure it is safe behind and in front to move over.
- Random spot safety checks will be done throughout the day to ensure your safety.
- All participating vessels must have valid insurance and comply with all safety regulations.
- No drinking and driving will be tolerated. Captains are designated drivers and responsible for the safe operation of their vessel, and the safety of their passengers. All participants should limit alcohol consumption as they will be around moving machinery and docking. Beer on the pier, water on the water.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST SIGN A WAIVER:
